STROKE PREVENTION REMOTE PATIENT MANAGEMENT PLATFORM
Comfit Stroke Remote Patient Management Platform (RPM) is a closed loop system designed to reduce the prevalence of Stroke. The platform includes a Patient Mobile App to simplify the process of home monitoring. This App connects to Boomerang ECG device, BP monitor, weighing scale and automatically upload data to cloud. It also receives push Notifications, Annualized Stroke Risk and individual risk factor versus target back from the cloud system. Letting patient knows about his/her risk of having a (recurrent) stroke is the best way to improve a patient’s drug compliance which leads to reduced chance of developing a stroke.
The intelligent backend cloud system analyses the latest home monitoring data, patient clinical history, treatment targets, lab results, ECG data and makes use of Deep Learning algorithms to screen Afib, provide drug recommendations and prioritizes patients who require attention to the top of the dashboard list. As a result, a doctor can handle many more patients within the same period of time.
This platform is currently in clinical trial in Queen Mary Hospital in Hong Kong. Three more hospitals in Sichuan and Macau will start clinical trial in the coming few months. The private healthcare provider Center Medical will start trial use before the end of 2022.
